What people ask us most.

Will my emails actually land in the inbox?
Flomailr sends through AWS SES, and every account gets DKIM signing by default. Pro users can authenticate their own sending domain in about three minutes. Before each send we look up your SPF, DKIM and DMARC records live and give you a go, caution, or stop verdict with the reasons spelled out, so you find out about a broken setup before your recipients do. We don't publish an inbox placement percentage, because placement depends on your list, your content, and your sending history, and any platform quoting you a single number for it is quoting you a number they cannot measure on your behalf.
Can I migrate from Mailchimp?
Export your audience from Mailchimp as CSV (Audience → View contacts → Export), then drag the file into Flomailr's import screen. Tags, statuses, and merge fields map across automatically, including the column names Mailchimp, Shopify, and WordPress form plugins use. You review the mapping before anything is written.
What happens if I exceed 500 contacts on the Free plan?
You get a soft warning in the dashboard. No surprise charges, no cards we don't have on file, no campaigns suddenly going dark. When you're ready to grow past 500, Pro is $19/month flat — and that's the only number that changes.
Do you support double opt-in?
Yes, and it's on by default for every public subscribe page. Subscribers receive a confirmation email; only confirmed addresses get added to your list. It is the single most effective thing you can do to keep bounce and complaint rates low, which is what actually protects your ability to reach the inbox.
Can I send transactional emails (password resets, receipts)?
Yes. POST to /api/v1/send with your API key and a to, subject, and html or text, and it goes out on the same authenticated domain as your campaigns. Transactional mail is treated differently on purpose: no unsubscribe footer, no quiet hours, and a marketing unsubscribe does not block it, because someone who left your newsletter still needs their password reset. Hard bounces, spam complaints, and your monthly limit still apply. Send an Idempotency-Key header and a retry will never double-send. There is no SMTP relay — it is an HTTP API only.
What's the refund policy?
Cancel anytime within the first 30 days for a full refund — just email us, no forms or 'are you sure?' loops. After that you can cancel at any time and you won't be billed for the next cycle.
